Our Own Kids Say the Darndest Things

So as we dyed Easter eggs tonight Hayes began to see things with his creative eyes.  He is a such a smart kid and decided that one of the eggs reminded him of his study of the solar system.  I'll let the video do the rest of the talking.

New Year's Eve at the Bleazards

New Year's Eve!

Yes the annual gathering at the Bleazard family compound has happened again.  The once small get-together of 2 or 3 families exploded this year (you could hear the explosions outside) to about 50 people.

The Bleazards, Lunds, Welkers, Swats, Woodwards (and group), Petersen's and Lewis' all collided for a night of fun and laughter.  Fireworks were shot and Michael Woodward didn't take anyone's fingers off.

We played games and had an all-round good time.

One of the annual highlights is watching Dave take the reins on the fireworks purchasing.  I have a video attached of his take charge attitude.  One of the funny things is every time we go we forget sparklers and usually find out they are out and have to go somewhere else.  Watch the video and see how it went down this year.

Despite the chaos of 1000 kids and the place looking like a disorganized polygamist habitat, we had an amazing time and look forward to it again.

Of course no trip to B-town is complete without time in Men's Town USA.  Dave was busy with his bowls and showing us his latest creations.  We received a detailed lesson in the art of turning wood from the master himself.

Wow A Second Time

Yes I'm writing again.  Why?  I have no idea.  Not much to report.  I'm still at Potbelly and Lela is still doing Home Staging, working for a financial company, taking care of our home, driving kids everywhere, feeding us, clothing us, keeping us going in the right direction, paying bills and running our finances, making sure birthdays and other celebrations don't get forgotten, keeping us spiritually uplifted and pretty much everything else.  Did I mention I still work at Potbelly.  So we pretty much split the work load around here to keep it fair.

Hope you like her retro look...this is from www.yearbookyourself.com  funny huh?

That being said, I'm interested in how big her crown in heaven is going to be?

Right now we are having a great time doing the one car thing as we have tightened down on finances (a.k.a. we can't afford another one)  So taxi driver is Lela's other profession.

I'm on some great drugs now for my suprise diagnosis of Adult ADD and it has helped in many ways but not quite with everything.  It doesn't actually help you make good choices, but just be able to focus and execute the choices you do make...oh well, come on scientists really?  For the price it should do everything.

Well that's all for now.  I just turned 35 yesterday and one of my employees said.."wow you are as old as my dad."  Great!

Here We Go!

Well let the A.D.D. kick in. Everyone seems to be jumping in the blog bandwagon, so I thought I'd give it a try. If it is like most things, I'll last a week or so. So enjoy it while you can. I will write soon about our wonderful family trip. In the meantime enjoy the slideshow of pictures on my blog. I used google's Picasa feature. This a great photo manager. Ok I'll write some tonight I guess.

Welcome to the World of ch-A.D.D.

Thanks for stopping by.  This blog is my pathetic attempt to write and post things that others may actually feel are worth investing one of our most valuable commodities...time.

I make no promises.  Heck, I'm glad when I remember to put my pants on before I leave the house.  But hey...let's go for it and just enjoy the ride.

    We have family home evening..
